Kate Winslet is looking fabulous for the February edition of Elle magazine, the U.K. edition. Kate tells the magazine that her new svelte look is not the cause of grueling exercise or fad diets but by being sensible. Kate insists she has slimmed down thanks to regular Pilates sessions and keeps her weight under control in part by just being sensible. ”I still don’t believe this craziness for being skinny, but I eat sensibly and I don’t stuff down chocolate biscuits,” she says.

Jesus is right, move over A-Rod but, Madonna has been rumored to be hanging out with HOT, YOUNG Brazilian model, Jesus Luz.

Madonna met the hot, 20-year-old, during a W magazine photo shoot and has been rumored that she asked him to come along to Sao Paolo for her next tour stop (damn girl, you don’t waste no time!).

According to film.com, readers have chosen Rihanna as 2008’s most stylish star. Do you agree?  

Rihanna has proven to be a risk-taker with her cutting edge fashion, trendsetting haircuts and bold makeup…just sorry to see that SJP didn’t make the list…guess there is always next time!  

Let’s see if Rihanna will continue to be the queen of fashion in 2009…stay tuned.

With much anticipation, Whitney Port (MTV”s “The Hills” and ‘The City”) has revealed to the world what she wore in the first episode of her new reality show, The City.  Whitney blogged that in the first scene and at her first day on the job at Diane von Furstenberg, she wore a vintage dress…surprising to know that she did not wear a DVF original.  

On her first date with Aussie hottie, Jay, she wore a dress from Opening Ceremony.

Finally, a DVF dress makes an appearance on Whitney, which she is seen wearing to the DVF fashion show.  

In the last scene, when she visits Kelly Cutrone at People’s Revolution, she wore a Alice McCall dress, a Sass and Bide jacket and London Sole shoes.

What a girl from the Hills to wear in the Big Apple….stay tuned….

It appears that the hot denim trend for 2009 is a throw back of the 70’s and celebrities alike are lovin’ it - Kate Moss, Nicole Ritchie, Victoria Beckham and The Olsen Twins.  Denim label, Siwy is the version of the Seventies flare-gone-supersized.

“They’re different because of seams sewn into the flare, creating movement and bounce when you walk,” Siwy’s founder and designer Michelle Siwy tells us of the design.

“At this point in time, there are no longer denim rules,” she muses. “You don’t have to just wear skinny jeans or just flares. You can have both on full rotation in your closet.”

Mischa Barton is another celebrity beating the odds against the recession.  Mischa (”The OC”) is launching a headband line for Stacey Lapidus and already has a handbag collection for the London-based Ri2k, now in its third season.  

Mischa Barton for Stacey Lapidus line consists of six pieces for holiday decorated with pearls, beads, crystals, sequins and flowers. Priced from $80 to $200, the Barton pieces initially will be sold at staceylapidus.com, but Lapidus plans to expand distribution to boutiques that sell her signature line. 

The 22-year-old actress, who made her name on Fox’s “The O.C.,” now has two upcoming films in the works, “Assassination of a High School President,” due out in March, and “Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain”.
